One Great Love

A very good friend of mine once told me

that all of us, here on this earth,
have our very own

One Great Love

and I think,

this morning,

I said GOODBYE to mine…

You see,

yesterday was JOKER DAY.

It’s what we call every 12th day of the month.

If you’re wondering why,

its quite simple.

In every deck of cards, there are:

14 pieces of the Suit of Hearts,

14 pieces of the Suit of Spades.
14 pieces of the Suit of Clubs
And 14 pieces of the Suit of Diamonds

But there are
Only
TWO Jokers.

Not many people understand them.
Only a few bother to know their real story.
In fact, even close friends

find them a mystery

But they spend the rest of their lives
looking for their pair…

On November 12th 4 years ago,
A Pair of Jokers found each other

and suddenly realized

that Life
was such

a beautiful thing.

Together …

… they Relearned the meaning of
trust…

…they Discovered

that Magic is real…

.. they even graduated from Med school…

And got their licenses …

and did a whole bunch of other things…

that

quite

simply

put

made

life

fullfilling…

…like a quiet afternoon walk….

..or a field trip with some friends…

…Or a nice cup of coffee…

…Or a free haircut…..

…Or savoring a bag of chips…

… or getting their hands into some thought-provoking reads..(wink-wink!)

Although they are not without fault,

because they fight sometimes too…

Usually in the end, they always worked things out.

...But because life is like a deck of cards…

…and sometimes, it reshuffles…

… soon they found themselves having to go

their separate ways…

So,on their last Joker day…

he held her hand as though he might never let go…

....and she embraced him as though it was for the first time…

and the last thing they heard each other say was

“Goodbye, Love.”

and that was it…

we do what we can with the cards that we are dealt.

I know this whole thing is so cheesy.

Right now, I feel like I’m walking on water.

…because with every step,I feel like I might sink
And my dark prince won’t be there anymore…

He was quite the catch.

but right now, I know we both need to fix our lives.

I know you can do it Love.

My faith in you is unwavering…

I shall miss you, of course..

But you’re right….

I also need to open doors for myself.

So go find yourself.
Fix your life.
Be the best person that you can be.
And know that I love you already.
As you are.
And as the person you deserve to be.
