A Pointless Blog, MOA, Burger King, The New Manila Bay And Never Blue Skies

Yesterday I had dinner with my friends, Kuaila and Joe.

At MOA.

Kahit malayo.

Yung tipong layo na kahit dalawang jeep at isang tren lang ang commute, kahit feeling mo mukhang goddess ka pag-alis mo ng bahay, pagdating mo dun, mukhang yaya ka lang din.

But I went.

Because I couldn’t bear being alone.

At least not then. Not for a while.

I used to wonder why depressed people couldn’t just snap out of it.

The Fates decreed that I had to find out the hard way.

We just couldn’t snap out of it.

At least not right away.

And friends have a way of speeding things up.

It’s not that misery loves company…

More like the cure for loneliness is company.

Sa Burger King lang naman kami kumain kasi kuripot na ang mundo.

We shared our horror stories. Hopes. Frustrations. Hurts. Laughters. Memories.

And how it’s time to make new ones.

Kuai is my oldest friend.

Joe one of my truest.

Wish ko nga maging sila nalang. >;(

Kaso antitigas ng mga ulo. :)
When Kuai left, Joe took me to this place beside MOA, by the bay.

A new Manila Bay.

Fancy place.

A bright merry go round.

Children pretending to be hamsters splashing around in giant plastic balls.

An extremely thin, masked dancer doing the Moonwalk.

And dancing the Nobody.

But, it was the same sunset.

The same filthy water.

The same grey Manila sky.

And our contribution to it.

Masking the stars and their fallacy of dreams coming true.

But it was a good night and I’m grateful…

To belong somewhere here in the City.

Where people rarely look up to the skies at all.

At first i thought it was just ’cause everybody’s always in a hurry.

But I’ve tried looking up.

And however I look, it seems that the sky here is just never blue…

Wala.

Isip lang..
